As a student just learning how to write HTML and CSS code, I don't think it would benefit me while I am still learning the basics of coding. I'm a big believer of learning how to do things the long way at first so that you can learn how certain changes in the code will affect the final product. I think if you are experienced and you can code by hand and understand everything it might work towards your advantage.
